For those that want to earn additional rewards and mark their progress in the latest shooter, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass release date is on the horizon. While the current state of the game has honored Infinity Ward's promise of no microtransactions - just that good ol' fashioned grind for camos and the like - they are going to be offering a totally optional Battle Pass in the future. This keeps the already content rotation in high gear while offering a special incentive for those that truly like to devote their time to the latest FPS.

While we knew the Battle Pass is coming, we didn't know when. A recent investor call that occurred regarding Activision that Prima Games' parent company was a part of did give us a clue as to when this Pass will be arriving, though we still don't have an exact release date. That being said, the launch seems imminent, with a planned release for early December.

The reception for Modern Warfare has been beyond positive, with many citing it as a huge return for a franchise that - despite the insane amount of players and buyers - the internet claims to be dead. That being said, the call did seem to hint that the release schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a bit behind schedule, but with two new free maps on the way today and the new hardpoint game mode, we're willing to bet that the playerbase isn't too broken up about that fact.

Now that we know that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass release date is on the horizon, players can go back and enjoy what the game has to offer in its current state.
